A new style of a Business Profile on mobile search has emerged with a new layout and some interesting features. I first spotted the option to upgrade a Google My Business listing near the end of July 2020 while looking in the GMB dashboard of an HVAC contractor. The main feature of the upgrade, at the price of $50/month, is the ability to display the Google Guaranteed badge directly on a Google My Business listing (aka Business Profile). Google has launched or is at least testing the ability for users to request quotes from multiple businesses on mobile search. A “Request Quotes” button may appear above the 3-pack for search queries specific to certain business categories. The category types involved that I have noticed are a few of the main categories in Local Services ads (along with house painters) but this is a Google My Business feature, not LSA.
One dilemma businesses in Local Services face is trying to decide where to ask customers to leave a review on Google. Should they send them to their Google My Business listing or their Google Local Services ad?
